Shipping & Logistics Policy

This policy outlines the standards for the safe, efficient, and compliant transport of bulk fertilizers (Urea 46%N, DAP 18-46-0, and Sulphur) from our Turkish facilities to our domestic and international partners.

1. Safety & Compliance Standards

As a Türkiye-based operator, all logistics activities are governed by the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

  • ADR Compliance: All road transport involving potentially hazardous materials (specifically Sulphur) strictly adheres to ADR (European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) regulations.

  • Vessel Standards: For maritime exports, we exclusively utilize "Single Pull" or "Folding" hatch cover vessels to ensure complete moisture protection for hygroscopic materials like Urea.

  • Driver Certification: Every operator in our logistics chain holds a valid SRC-5 certificate, mandatory for the transport of dangerous goods in Türkiye.

2. Material-Specific Handling Protocols

Each fertilizer type presents unique logistical challenges. We manage these through targeted environmental controls rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Urea 46%N (Hygroscopy Management) Urea is highly sensitive to humidity. To prevent clumping or liquefaction, we mandate the use of heavy-duty polyethylene (PE) liners for all bulk containers. Loading is strictly prohibited during any form of precipitation, and storage areas must maintain a relative humidity below 70%.

DAP 18-46-0 (Structural Protection) Diammonium Phosphate granules are prone to "caking" under excessive pressure. We enforce strict stack-height limits in both warehouses and vessel holds. Our logistics partners must utilize equipment that minimizes "drop height" during transfer to prevent the fracture of the granules, which can lead to dust formation and nutrient loss.

Elemental Sulphur (Combustion & Dust Control) Sulphur is classified as a flammable solid. We utilize anti-static loading equipment and ensure that all transport units are thoroughly cleaned of carbonaceous residues. During transit, temperature monitoring is mandatory to prevent the risk of self-ignition in high-heat environments.

3. Loading & Discharge Sequence

To maintain safety and product purity, every shipment must follow this chronological safety sequence:

1 Pre-Loading Survey

Unit Verification

Inspect the truck, container, or vessel hold. It must be "Grain Clean"—free of odors, moisture, and debris from previous shipments like coal or grain.

2 Environmental Verification

Condition Check

Verify current weather and humidity levels. If the dew point is within 3°C of the cargo temperature, loading is paused to prevent condensation.

3 Sealing and Sampling

Quality Lockdown

Once loaded, units are sealed with uniquely numbered high-security seals. Representative composite samples are taken and split: one for the lab, one for the client, and one for our archives.

4 Arrival Inspection

Discharge Protocol

Before discharge, the receiver must verify seal integrity. Any breach or sign of moisture ingress must be documented via a third-party surveyor before the product is moved

4. Transit Times and Routing

Our logistics network is optimized for the Turkish geography, utilizing the strategic ports of Mersin and Aliağa.

Domestic Shipments (Türkiye) Orders within the Marmara and Aegean regions are typically fulfilled via road transport with a lead time of 24 to 48 hours. Shipments to Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia may require up to 72 hours depending on seasonal pass conditions.

International Maritime Transit For exports to the Middle East and Mediterranean basins, sea freight from Mersin Port typically takes 7 to 12 days. Shipments to Sub-Saharan Africa or the Americas are routed via major container lines with estimated transit times ranging from 20 to 35 days.

5. Risk Management & Insurance

We operate primarily under Incoterms 2020: CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) or CFR (Cost and Freight). Under CIF terms, we provide comprehensive insurance coverage (Institute Cargo Clauses A), protecting our partners against maritime accidents, theft, or catastrophic loss.
